Almost 100 runners took part in the Culmore 5k, the fourth in the Furey 5k series. There was a break from the wet weather for the actual race itself, which was won by Emmett McGinty of City of Derry in 16.04. First in for Foyle Valley was Pius McIntyre, who battled hard all the way round to take third place with a time of 16.56. Paddy Nicell was the next Foyle Valley man to finish, taking 5th place, and the M45 prize in a time of 17.24.

Ryan Snodgrass and Brian Kelly matched each other around the course, both finishing in the top 10 with 17.40, followed by Ryan Gallagher with 18.09. Marty Dunleavy had another impressive run finishing in 18.25. Other Foyle Valley finishers were Chris Ryan 19.04, Brian Baker 19.52, Declan Daly 21.22, Michael Doherty 22.09, Kevin O’Neill 26.49 and Liam Clarke 33.41.
